Getting Started
Welcome to ToonShow! Here’s everything you need to start playing in just a few minutes.
1. Open ToonShow
ToonShow runs right in your browser, on your phone or computer, so there’s nothing to download. Want quicker access? Add it to your home screen and open it just like an app.
iPhone and iPad
- Open ToonShow in Safari.
- Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
Android
- Open ToonShow in Chrome.
- Tap Install when prompted, or open the menu and tap Install ToonShow.
Computer
- Open ToonShow in your browser.
- Open the menu and click Install ToonShow.
Opened ToonShow from Instagram or TikTok? Tap Copy link first, then paste it into Safari or Chrome.
2. Sign up
Sign in with your Google or Apple account. There’s no separate password to remember. You’ll need to be 13 or older.
We’ll then ask for a few quick details, like a nickname and the kinds of stories you enjoy, so we can recommend some to start with. You’ll also receive free Credits to get you going.
3. Pick your language
ToonShow is available in English, Français, Deutsch, Español, Italiano and Português. To switch, go to MY > Settings > Language.
4. Play your first story
- Find a story. Browse Home, pick a genre, or search for something you have in mind.
- Open the story page. Read the description and prologue, and tap a character to get to know them.
- Choose your Avatar and a Starting Scenario. Your Avatar is who you’ll be, and the Starting Scenarios are the different points a story can begin from.
- Tap New Play. Write what you’d like to say or do, and the story replies. Stuck for ideas? Tap a suggested reply.
- Come back anytime. Tap Continue Play or open History to pick up right where you left off.
5. About Credits
Each time the story replies, it uses Credits. You can check your balance and top up in My Credit.
